Equipment

  • Nonstick Skillet
  • Small Mixing Bowl
  • Spatula or Tongs

Ingredients

Main Ingredients

  • 1 lb medium to large shrimp peeled, deveined, tail-on optional, patted dry
  • 1/3 cup honey preferably clover or wildflower
  • 1/4 cup low-sodium soy sauce
  • 4 cloves garlic freshly minced
  • 1 tbsp rice vinegar or lemon juice for brightness

Instructions

  • In a small bowl, whisk together the honey, soy sauce, minced garlic, and rice vinegar or lemon juice.
  • Heat a nonstick skillet over medium-high heat.
  • Add the shrimp in a single layer and cook for about 1-2 minutes on each side, until pink and slightly seared.
  • Pour the sauce over the shrimp and cook for another 1-2 minutes, stirring occasionally, until the sauce thickens and coats the shrimp.
  • Remove from heat and serve immediately, spooning extra sauce over the shrimp.

Notes

Make sure the shrimp are fully thawed and patted dry before cooking to get a good sear. Use freshly minced garlic for best flavor. Adjust sweetness or saltiness by tweaking the honey and soy sauce ratio.
