Equipment

  • Large Mixing Bowl
  • Medium Mixing Bowl
  • Electric Hand Mixer
  • Whisk
  • Measuring Cups and Spoons
  • 9-inch Springform Pan
  • Parchment Paper
  • Heat-proof Bowl
  • Spatula
  • Butter Knife
  • Cooking Spray

Ingredients

  • 1 box orange jello 3 ounce
  • 1 cup boiling water
  • 2 cups Graham Cracker crumbs about 14 sheets
  • 6 tbsp unsalted butter melted
  • 1 pinch salt
  • 2 blocks cream cheese 8 ounce each, softened
  • 1.5 cups powdered sugar divided
  • 2 cups heavy whipping cream
  • 0.5 tsp vanilla extract
  • zest of 1 orange optional

Instructions

  • Make the orange jello: Add orange jello powder and boiling water to a heat-proof bowl. Whisk until fully combined. Let cool completely for about 30 minutes.
  • Spray a 9-inch springform pan with cooking spray and line the bottom and sides with parchment paper.
  • Make the crust: In a medium bowl, mix graham cracker crumbs, melted butter, and salt until well combined. Press into the bottom and slightly up the sides of the pan. Freeze for at least 30 minutes.
  • Make the cheesecake filling: In a large bowl, beat softened cream cheese with 1 cup powdered sugar until smooth and creamy (about 2 minutes).
  • In another bowl, whip heavy whipping cream, 1/2 cup powdered sugar, vanilla extract, and orange zest until stiff peaks form.
  • Fold half of the whipped cream into the cream cheese mixture until combined. Fold the remaining whipped cream into the cooled jello mixture.
  • Assemble: Alternate spooning cream cheese and jello mixtures into the crust, creating layers. Use a butter knife to gently swirl together.
  • Cover and refrigerate the cheesecake for at least 6 hours or overnight until fully set.
  • To serve: Remove the sides of the springform pan. Garnish with whipped cream and orange slices if desired. Slice and enjoy!

Notes

Ensure cream cheese is at room temperature to avoid lumps. Whisk jello until completely dissolved and cool before adding whipped cream. For best results, whip cold cream in a cold bowl.
